ABOUT THE STUDENTS' UNION AT HARPER ADAMS


Harper Adams Students' Union is a registered charity whose student members democratically lead the organisation, supported by a team of permanent staff who are responsible for the operation and management of the students' union. The student members are represented at all levels of decision making within the union and the university, supported by the union’s staff team. With two-full time Student Officers, a team of permanent staff and the involvement of student volunteers the Union is at the heart of activity on campus. We deliver a range of services and support for members, from independent academic advice to supporting Course Reps to enhance their course, to promote the employability and development of students through our clubs and societies. The Union shop which sells a range of products, including ethically sourced University branding clothing and merchandise. 

As an organisation we are continually striving to develop as an organisation we recently became a Living Wage paying students' union from September 2019, and we are committed to paying all our staff the living wage set by The Living Wage Foundation, rising annually in line with the real cost of living in the UK.

SU BAR STAFF

DETAILS

Working with the team to ensure the smooth running of the bar within our SU Bar/ Welly, deliver the highest customer service standard. Working within our venue is no ordinary part-time job. As a member of the team, you will be expected to be an ambassador for the Students’ Union. We aim to make life better for students at Harper Adams and, because last academic year we had over 5,000 people visit our venue, you are the face of Harper Adams Students’ Union at our events.

This role is an enjoyable and rewarding opportunity, working in an extremely sociable environment. We expect a high level of commitment and a real passion to be part of a dedicated working team. You will need to be hardworking, fun and always ready to work with a smile on your face.
