The Gender Expression Fund (GEF) is a grant set up and ran by Harper Adam's Students' Union to aid transgender students with financial barriers in their social transition. Please note: this grant cannot aid medical transition e.g. hormone therapy or gender affirming surgery.
When applying to the fund, please provide links or descriptions of the items you require and their estimated costs. For approved applications, we will purchase the required items on your behalf and them provide them to you.
With it being such a sensitive subject, only three members of HASU staff will review your application. The Welfare and Wellbeing officer, Deputy Union Director for financial approval and another member of HASU staff. Applicants details will be stored securely and not shared with anyone outside of the above individuals.
Any data used from the GEF for statistics to aid the running of the GEF will be completely anonymised. The GEF is funded by donations at fundraisers ran by HASU or any students wanting to support the cause.
