The Harper Outside Club is a club for likeminded people to join together and spend time outside and explore the Shropshire area.

As outdoor enthusiasts, we found there to be a lack of clubs suited to me at Harper, and feel as though there must be other individuals that feel the same. HOC arranges group activities such as hiking, open water swimming, paddle boarding, and even (with the individual cost being calculated for each outing) travelling to establishments such as GoApe for exciting courses, hoping to push some out of their comfort zone, or to local Shropshire organisations that cater to activities such as quad biking and paint-balling.

These would be plans doable with a slightly larger group, so start up meets will be for local hiking trails and/or nearby bodies of water safe to swim in. With the inclusion of votes from members of the club, each week will be a different location in the area, to cover Shropshire ground and see new areas, and get to express our collective love for the outdoors. We are looking into 1 night camping solutions in the area or slightly further afield, to cover popular areas for outdoor hiking/swimming. This means that may individuals may get to cross off a bucket list activity, they may otherwise not have bothered with.

Individuals do not have to be members of the club to come to individual sessions, they will however need to pay their share of transport ect. By advertising each individual session, I hope to entice regular members into joining, as well as any other peers who might fancy a one off activity.
