The Harper Adams Equestrian Club is open to all equine lovers from any type of riding background looking to have some fun with horses and friends away from the busy life of university.
Harper Adams Equestrian Club is open to students from every background - from those have always wanted to give riding a go - to those who own and compete their own horses.
Lessons are tailored to suit all riding abilities and for those more experienced riders there is the option to try out for a place on one of our teams. We have 1 BUCS team in the championship and 2 friendly teams that will compete as part of a friendly league.
We will be holding lessons at Telford Equestrian Centre every Wednesday afternoon from 12 o’clock - just 10 minutes away from campus. TEC have a wide range of horses and knowledgeable instructors where they will hold an hour long group lessons depending on ability. The cost of the lessons will be £28.00 per person each week.
We will be hosting team training sessions at Rockstar Equestrian Centre in Huntington on Wednesday afternoons. If you are lucky enough to be selected for teams your team of 4 will train on a three week rota having two weeks of training and then one week off. Attendance at these training sessions is crucial in order to compete to a high standard. Training is £35 which you will be required to pay prior to the session.
As well as lessons and teams, we also have socials on a Wednesday evening where we can all come together and have a few drinks and play some games before heading to the SU. These nights are normally themed so get your crafty head on to pull off the best outfit!
