We understand that you may have a few questions when it comes to the SU, below you will find answers to some of the most common questions that we get asked.


WHEN CAN I JOIN A CLUB/SOCIETY

You can join a Club or Society at any time throughout the year by simply going to the clubs or societies pages and clicking "join this cub/society". It is recommended that you join during the Freshers Fair (Saturday 1st October) to get the most out of the activities hosted by the Club/Society.


HOW DO I SET UP AN ACCOUNT ON THE SU WEBSITE

As a student of Harper Adams University, you will automatically have an account made for you once you have enrolled onto your course. You will be able to login in by clicking "Login with Harper". Staff and External guest will be able to create an account by clicking "Create a new Account" or clicking here


WHAT DO I DO IF I'M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY ACCOUNT?

WHAT IS A SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP?

Social Memberships provides you with our weekly night bus for free, and access to our big Wednesday night free of charger all year. It also provides you with a discount on the majority of events that the SU put on throughout the year, from Freshers Ball/Summers Ball to The Big Weekend event. 


DO I HAVE TO PAY MY SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP?

No - It is not a requirement that you pay for the Social Membership. However, it is recommended that you do if you anticipate on attending our events. The Social Membership gives you a discount on the majority of events, and it will get you in for free every Wednesday night. It is saving you a huge £120 per year if bought. 


WHEN/WHERE DO I PLAY FOR MY SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP

Great! You are able to purchase a Social Membership at any time throughout the year, simply head over to the shop and purchase the membership you would like.


IS MY SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP REFUNDABLE

SU Membership Fees are non-refundable unless there is a genuine change in circumstances in which exceptions will be considered at the SU managements discretion. Any refunds issued by the Students' Union, will be on a pro-rata basis and will be charged back to the original card that payment was made on.
AM I ALLOWED TO BRING GUESTS TO THE EVENTS?

Yes - We do allow guests to attend most of our events. You will need to purchase the guest tickets on your SU account, where the tickets will be digitally assigned to your student card. When attending the event you will need to be with your guest(s), and they will need to produce either their driving license or passport as ID, at the door entry before they can gain access to the venue.


I'M UNDER 18, CAN I ATTEND THE EVENT?

Yes - If you are a registered student with Harper Adams University, you will be able to attend the events that we host. This does, unfortunately, mean that you will not be able to invite any guests that under the age of 18.
