Come and join us this year for the second year of Harper Adams Cross Country Club! We have lots of exciting plans, so please keep an eye on our Instagram @hau_xc or join our WhatsApp (link in Instagram bio). We would love to see as many of you there as possible, whether you are a first-timer or seasoned runner. Our focus is to improve fitness, get outside and have fun!
As a new club, we're always open to fresh ideas and suggestions! We're keen to make the club something everyone can enjoy, so whether you've got ideas for training sessions, races, socials or trips, we'd love to hear them.
Training:
We hold two weekly training sessions:
Tuesdays @ 19.00 - meeting in Newport
Thursdays @ 18.30 - meeting in Newport or running from Harper
Our sessions usually include two groups to suit different running abilities and preferences. One group runs at a faster pace over a slightly longer distance, while the other takes a more relaxed pace with a shorter route. Whether you're looking to push yourself or simply enjoy a social run, there's something for everyone!
Alongside our weekly sessions, we also aim to take part in local parkruns and other running events, giving members plenty of opportunities to run together outside our regular training.
Races and events:
Last year, we took part in Leicester University's Relay Event, which was a brilliant experience and a great opportunity to compete as a team.
There are plenty of similar events hosted by other universities, and we're always keen to get involved when there's enough interest. Whether you're an experienced runner or fancy trying your first race, we'd love to encourage as many members as possible to take part.
Alongside our weekly runs, we love heading to the pub for a well-earned drink and a catch-up. It's a great chance to relax, get to know other members and enjoy the social side of the club. Whether you're up for a pint or just fancy coming along for a chat, everyone's welcome!

£15 for the year (does not include any races or additional events)
Committee:
Chair - Ava Kind
Treasurer - Leia Chan
