Harper Ireland

Harper Ireland is exclusive to Irish students and one of the biggest and best societies within the Harper Adams Students Union, well we think so anyway!

We know that it can be daunting as a first year student moving away from home, but our execs and members aim to ensure everyone has the best experience possible. We are like one big family who looks out for each other and in no time Harper feels like a home away from home. We have about 140 members and this is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

We hold regular meetings, socials and weekly sports nights where we have fun playing rugby, football and hockey. Also, we have a jam-packed social calendar where we attend events such as Ascot and Cheltenham races, the Harper Ireland dinner and go on trips to Alton Towers, paintballing and farm visits! As a society, there are opportunities for scholarships and fundraising for various charities of our choice which we take great pride in supporting such as the Air Ambulance.

We have the responsibility of organising Paddy’s Ball, the highlight of the social calendar. We are in charge of organising headline acts, themes, and decorations which is a great way for us all to come together and really work as a team!
