For those of you looking to learn a new skill, start up a business, or need to right equipment to continue your pathway to success, The Young Persons Grant Scheme may be able to help!
The Leader and Cabinet Members’ Young Person Grant 2026 provide up to £500 to young people needing financially support for education, training or employment. The grant can also be given to help those looking for additional help to pursue extracurricular activities that support their learning and development.
This means that you can apply for the grant to cover things such as:
👔 Uniform/clothing needed for placement or imminent employment
🚌 Travel costs (helpful if on an unpaid placement!)
💻 Equipment such as a new laptop or software needed for your studies, placement, or imminent employment
You must live within Telford and Wrekin (which as Harper students, you do!) and be aged 15 to 25 at the close of application. Applications open on the 23rd January 2026 and run until the 20th March 2026.
