As we prepare for the HAU v RAU Varsity taking place on 25th March at Harper Adams University. Harper Adams Students’ Union (HASU), Harper Adams University (HAU) and the Royal Agricultural University (RAU) are excited to welcome you to what promises to be a fantastic day of sport, community and celebration.
Varsity is a privilege for everyone involved—players, clubs, and supporters alike. It represents the very best of both universities, and together we are committed to creating an environment where all students can take pride in their institution and enjoy the event safely and respectfully.
Positive Support, Positive Atmosphere
We encourage you to bring your energy, enthusiasm and team spirit. Cheer loudly, celebrate respectfully, and help us create a Varsity atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. Your conduct contributes directly to the reputation of your university, club and student community.
Expected Behaviour
When attending Varsity, spectators are representing HAU/RAU and are therefore expected to:
· Be respectful, courteous and considerate towards players, officials, staff, volunteers, security teams, and fellow supporters.
· Uphold the values of diversity, inclusivity and community—discrimination, harassment or harmful behaviour will not be tolerated.
· Follow instructions from event staff, stewards and security at all times.
· Remember that university disciplinary policies apply throughout the event, including travel to and from the venues.
Spectators bringing alcohol from outside or attempting to consume alcohol in non-designated areas will have it confiscated. Entry will be refused to anyone arriving drunk or otherwise intoxicated in line with licensing laws.
If behaviour breaches expectations:
Breaches will result in:
· Immediate removal from the event.
· A ban from all remaining Varsity fixtures.
· Referral to the relevant disciplinary process
Working Together for a Great Varsity
We want this year’s Varsity to be memorable for all the right reasons. Please play your part in keeping the event safe, positive and welcoming for everyone. Any serious incidents may affect the future of Varsity, so your cooperation is vital.
If you see anything concerning, please inform a member of staff or security immediately.
Thank you for supporting your teams and representing your university with pride. We look forward to an incredible day of sport and celebration.
Best wishes, HASU, HAU & RAU
