Meet The Team

Students' Union President: Ellie Mace

 Ellie is the Students' Union President and is responsible for representing students in all deliberations on all aspects of university decision-making from Board of Governors to the Academic Board and everything between. Ellie also manages the SU Exec team, supporting them with their campaigns and events. In partnership with the Vice President, Ellie helps direct what events and entertainment students want on campus. Ellie has just finished her undergraduate degree in Veterinary Nursing, has been a student trustee and educational champion in her final year of study and has been a member of the netball club since her first year. Outside of work, Ellie enjoys keeping fit, getting outdoors and keeping her hand in the veterinary nursing profession.

 

 

Students' Union Vice President: Tiff Owen

Tiff is the Students' Union Vice President and is responsible for Course Tutor meetings and more of the student involvement activities. Tiff's role is more hands-on delivering activities in line with student wellness, wellbeing and engagement. Tiffany has been active member of the Harper Adams Conservation Society as well as a Course Representative for most of her academic years at Harper. Tiff joined the SU after completing her BSc (Hons) Applied Zoology degree during which she completed a year’s zoo keeping experience at Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park. 

Tiffany is a social butterfly, always happy to make time for a chat and loves a good night out. She also enjoys binge watching Netflix, drawing and volunteering with animals in her spare time.  

 

Student Union Director: Michael Gale / Fay Harris (Interim)

The new Student Union Director Michael Gale will be joining the team from Birmingham City Students Union in November.
Fay Harris from Keele Students Union is acting as Interim Director.

 

Student Voice Coordinator: Zena Rittenhouse

 

Zena is our Student Voice & Insight Coordinator and  joined the team from Harper’s Marketing Department. The role was created following the request of Harper students for greater academic representation from their union. Zena’s responsibilities include work with Course Reps (Educational Champions), organization of the democratic elections, and the collection of student voice through methods like our Student Voice surveys.

 

 

 

Events and Marketing Manager; Greg Poole


Greg is the Students' Union Events and Marketing Manager and is responsible for the overall management of all the large events on campus and all of the SU's marketing from the social media channels to the website. Greg also oversees all course, club and society dinners and is the general go to guy for any queries. 

Greg joined HASU in August 2023 having previously held the position of Deputy Venue Manager at Keele Students' Union.

Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent he is a keen Port Vale FC fan and enjoys sports, running and music, performing gigs and writing music in his spare time!

 

 

Activities Coordinator: Mike Jones

 

Mike is the Students' Unions Activities Coordinator and is the go to man for Clubs and Socieites on campus. Mike manages all club fixtures through BUCS and assists with all clubs and societies activties. In addition, Mike has been the mastermind behind the refurbishment of the HASU Gym, kitting it out with new, high-quality equipment.
You'll usually see Mike with a Black Coffee to hand and is always there for any club & society needs. 

 


 

 

Activities and Events Coordinator; Becky Davies

Becky is the SU’s Activities and Events Assistant since January 2023.
Becky’s role supports both the Activities Co-Ordinator and the Events & Marketing Manager in all things from helping to run the SU social media channels, providing content and design and updating the website, to supporting with our big events through the year, to helping with the running of our clubs and societies. 
Becky came to Harper after graduating from The UEA in 2021 and then spending a year working in inclusive education. She loves sports, her dogs and socialising with her friends.



 

Venues Manager; Adam Parton


Adam is the Venues Manager and is responsible for managing the SU Barn and Welly for our classic Flock Wednesdays, where all the fun happens!

Adam joined the team in 2021 with vast experience working in Students' Unions and hospitality.
Adam also oversees the events for the Welly including; Karaoke Mondays, Takeover Tuesdays, Quiz Thursdays and much more! 

 

 

 

 


Finance Officer; Sarah-Jayne Etherington 

Sarah- Jayne is our Finance Officer, managing all the money that comes through the Students' Union. Sarah joined the team back in 2019 and is officially the coolest member of staff, having seen all the best bands!
