Can the EDC be open 24/7?

Students have asked if the EDC can remain open 24/7.

In 2024, the decision was made by the university, in consultation with Course Reps and the SU, to close the EDC from 2-6am. This was done to support student wellbeing and discourage working at unsociable hours and risks around lone working.

At the Student Experience Group, it was brought up that Weston computer labs are open 24/7 via one of the entrances to the building, and the library has 10 high performance workstations available as well.
