LAND-BASED SKILLS PROGRAMME

Harper Adams University offer a range of subsidised land-based skills courses to students. 

 

    

Courses include:

  • Tractor Driving                                          

  • Fork Lift Truck Operations/Telehandler

  • Transport of Animals by Road (Short Journey)

  • Chainsaw: Cross-cutting & Maintenance, Felling >380mm

  • Safe Use of Pesticides: PA1, PA2, PA4s & PA6

  • First Aid at Work (TOHS)

  • Safe Operation of ATV’s

  • Coppice Restoration

  • Trailer Training (must have both parts of driving licence to book)

  • Fencing

  • Brushcutter Operations

  • Charcoal Making

  • Interherd+: Milk recording software

  • Stockmanship

THERE ARE STILL PLACES AVAILABLE ON ALL COURSES, PLEASE SEE ANDREA OR KATHY IN THE PLACEMENT OFFICE, TOP FLOOR FACCENDA TO BOOK A PLACE.    

Pre-placement students have priority booking on one course until 11th October. 

From 14th October all students may book on one course. 

From 21st October all students may book on additional courses.
