Our first Craft & Connect workshop was a fantastic success, and I couldn't be happier with how the afternoon went!
We welcomed around 40 students throughout the event, all coming together to enjoy an afternoon of creativity, conversation and a well-deserved break from university life. With clay, decorating materials, snacks and drinks available, we aimed to create a relaxed and welcoming environment where everyone could get involved, meet new people and enjoy some time away from their studies.
One of the loveliest things about these few hours was seeing students chatting, sharing ideas and making new friends. Whether people arrived with friends or came along on their own, there was a real sense of community, and it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and enjoying themselves.
Of course, no wellbeing event would be complete without a little extra happiness! I also brought along two very special four-legged guests, who were more than happy to provide plenty of puppy cuddles throughout the afternoon. They certainly proved to be a popular addition!
As Welfare & Wellbeing Officer, it was so rewarding to see the event bring people together and create a space where students could relax, get creative and connect with others. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the afternoon such a success.
This was a brilliant start to our programme of wellbeing events, and I hope everyone who attended left feeling a little more relaxed, having made some new connections and, hopefully, with a few happy memories (and perhaps a clay creation or two!).
Keep an eye on the Harper Adams Students' Union social media pages for updates on upcoming wellbeing events. I can't wait to see you at the next one! 💚
