About Me

I first came to Harper in 2020 as a mature student, where I completed my foundation year which led me on to the BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Welfare. As a student, I was a member of a few different clubs and societies including Off-Road, and Music, as well as being the Secretary for Arts and Crafts.

In my spare time, I love to crochet and have a go at other crafty things. I am quite often going on adventures with my friends, exploring different parts of the country and going on walks/hikes. I am also an avid TV binge watcher, and will likely be cycling through either Gilmore Girls, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, or some kind of True Crime documentary.

Why did I run for VP?

When running for VP, I was in my 5th year of being at Harper and I felt like I had a lot to give back to a community that had done a lot for me over the years. I really want to see what I can achieve in this next year and continue to provide the students with positive experiences whilst at Harper.

Priorities

  • Student Support and Welfare
  • Academic and Careers Development
  • Safety and Security

I love Harper Because…

It felt like home.

From day one I was able to find my people (which wasn’t easy given it was during COVID and socialising was limited!). Since my first year I have met so many amazing people from all different backgrounds and we have made so many great memories. I love the sense of community, and no matter where you are or what you’re doing, you know there is always someone around who will have your back.

I have never struggled to get support from the university or HASU when needed. The smaller campus has meant that I have had the opportunity to get to know many of the lecturers and staff within the uni, which I don’t think would have been possible at a bigger, city uni.
